Hello! I’m Alex.

I’m an award-winning copywriter, content strategist, and narrative designer. With over ten years of experience writing for global brands like the Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, and Virgin, I’ve had the opportunity to think out of the traditional customer journey and into the fantastical. Whether it’s web, print, or real-world experiences, I’m your one-stop shop for incredible customer moments.

As a lifelong LEGO fan (currently attempting to collect all of the bouquets!), I can’t wait to apply my audience-first thinking to LEGO’s world class products.

Work

Vacation should be a break from worries - but not from trusted healthcare. This Disney-themed ER, meant for guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, transports guests out of the traditional emergency room experience into tranquility, relaxation, and moments of whimsy. I spearheaded the narrative design of the ER experience, including the Little Mermaid themed MRI, interactive in-patient room concepts, and more.

Responsibilities included creative direction, pitching the concept to the IP holder, writing all narrative content, and maintaining licensing / branding guidelines for IP use.

Disney’s EPCOT approached me about creating a show for their Hasbro x Disney collaboration. Created to celebrate princesses of all ages and launch a new line of princess dolls, this silly, 15-minute skit by the Royal Paynes was performed in front of an audience of ~10,000 Disney influencers and journalists in the toy industry.

Responsibilities included scriptwriting, day-of production assistance, and show direction assistance.

The first Disney attraction to feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse opened with food, fireworks, and an incredible soundtrack. As part of the dedication ceremony team, I wrote up the concept alongside our show director, collaborated with operations to execute the project, and more.

Responsibilities included scriptwriting, day-of production assistance, troubleshooting safety issues with operations team, and show direction assistance.

As part of a brand awareness and general education campaign, this script was devised to educate the general public about the levels of autonomy. Currently in production as an animated YouTube series, this script is the first of many.

Meet Torc Robotics' self-driving semi-trucks, the next great advancement in the vast world of transportation. With innovation, safety, and efficiency in mind, these autonomous vehicles are revolutionizing our present and future. This script was conceived, written, and brought to life to accompany investor presentations for a self-driving startup.

Responsibilities included strategy, creative direction, scriptwriting, and on-site video assistance.

In my capacity as content writer at Torc Robotics, I write most of the copy for our company’s social feeds. From May the 4th trivia to employee spotlights, our social feeds have a little bit of everything.
